Our Founder
Ja'nister Herring is an IT veteran with over twenty years of industry experience.
In addition to her engineering and computer information management degrees, she is a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Certified DevOps Release Manager. She also has a Leadership Certificate from the Harvard Business School Online.
Her project and program management experience includes e-commerce, infrastructure, software integrations with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions, cybersecurity, master database management, mobile applications, marketing, supply chain, and logistics.
Ja'nister's industry experience is comprehensive. She has successfully navigated various industries, including electrical supply distribution, utilities, transportation, financial, information governance, and communications, demonstrating her adaptability and versatility.
Outside of work, Ja'nister advocates for at-risk girls, latch-key kids, and foster children. She has been a board member of Girl Scouts USA, United Way's Women Leadership, Women's Giving Alliance, DanielKids, Lowcountry African American Giving Circle, and The Links, Incorporated.
Ja’nister has been part of the Charleston community for nine years. She loves reading, long-distance cycling, golf, travel, and being a mother to two adult sons, Nathaniel III and Christian.
